There\'s a string of plastic stars here,
Each one shines unlike the last,
Each represents a different lie -
A bleak reminder of your past.

Each tiny electric glow
Signifies a truth you hid so deep,
Those angry truths incessantly burn
Just not in any conscious you keep.

If only you\'d had those stars to guide you,
To allow your tired eyes to see,
